TOPIC: The sutra presentation of Mahamudra emphasizes meditations on different levels of the clear, pristine nature of our own mind. These sublime meditations are deeply relaxing, and profoundly illuminating. Through these practices we gain deep insight into the flexible and limitless nature of our own mind. This in turn helps us to understand through our own experience the validity of the Buddhist spiritual path as a method to actualize our potential for lasting happiness and freedom and ultimately, our own enlightenment.

INSPIRATION: At the 2007 Festival, Venerable Geshe-la taught, “Buddha said, “If you realize your mind, you will become a Buddha. You should not seek Buddhahood in any other place.” Gen Rigpa and Gen Choma will guide the retreat sessions and share teachings from the book Mahamudra Tantra and the 2007 Fall Festival with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
