Donation
Our Temple, Residences, and KMC SF Community have provided refuge for those seeking inner peace and a complete spiritual path for over three decades.
In celebration of our 35th anniversary year in 2025, we’re excited to announce a new, year-long giving campaign to raise $35,000 to pave the way for the next thirty-five ahead.
Thirty-five years is a staggering amount of rich KMC SF history, people served, and memories made while flourishing Kadam Dharma in the Bay Area. They also make for a lot of wear and tear on our properties, all of which are much older than our fortunate 35.
Good stewardship of these emanations from Geshe-la’s heart is one of the most important ways that we can demonstrate compassion and kindness towards all living beings.
KMC SF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donation is tax deductible.
New Developments in 2025
Improving our Temple’s mission to serve the entire community, regardless of physical abilities and access needs.
Built in 1918 for The Spiritualist Church, our Temple is a historical treasure spiritually rich, and physically challenged. Our emergency exit doors are outdated, eroding, and offer little energy-saving insulation. Cumbersome outer gates don’t allow for an accessible on-ramp and require the time-consuming hassle of unlocking and locking.
Repairing our Residences today, creating new Temples tomorrow.
After housing hundreds of community volunteers, visiting Teachers (including 4 of the 5 Gen-las!), and working visitors, our two houses–acquired in 1998 but built several decades before–are in need of repair.
The financial and volunteer lifeblood of our Temple, our Residences are a major reason why KMC SF is uniquely blessed. Whereas other centers without such significant assets are forced to close during financially challenging times like the pandemic, KMC SF has always remained open thanks to the Residences’ support.
Affordable classes, low membership fees and free prayers could never be offered in a city as expensive as San Francisco without such precious emanations.
Together we can guarantee spaces that truly reflect our commitment to safety, compassion and inclusivity. We can be the kind of property stewards Geshe-la’s International Temples Project calls upon our global community to be.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication in ensuring Geshe-la's vision to share precious Dharma teachings for the benefit of all in spaces safe and accessible to all.
May all beings benefit from your kindness and generosity.
