Summer Meditate and Be Happy
A short meditation class on your way home, or out!
Monday Night Drop-in Class
6:30 - 7:45pm
The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.
If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.
In this class, we will learn how to meditate, the benefits of meditation, and various meditations that will help to calm the mind, reduce stress, and give rise to an experience of inner peace and wellbeing.
June 5th - Meditation on Clarity, Judith Sweet
In our busy lives, we often feel we have no control over our distracting thoughts and are even more often taken over by them. By meditating on the clarity of our mind, we can learn to pacify our thoughts and connect with the peace within our mind.
June 12th - Meditation on The Root Mind
We spend so much energy trying to make ourselves happy. If we improve our ability to control our mind, we can be happy all the time. By meditating on the root mind located at our heart, we can learn how our mind works and how to better control our mind.
June 19th - Meditation on Inner Peace, Judith Sweet
When our mind is peaceful, we can feel happy, content, and relaxed. By learning to meditate, we can learn to disengage our mind from the busyness of our life, and create a special feeling of inner peace within.
